Female football

The Castle Hill RSL Soccer Club has a proud history of supporting women’s soccer and it is a key focus area within the club. We are also at the forefront of revitalising and promoting women’s soccer within the Hills District and raising its status at Association level.

 

Over the years the Rockets have fielded 100’s ladies and junior girls that have represented the club as Champions and Grand Finalists in many age groups. We love seeing our junior girls over the years also thrive in our mixed competition and large participation in the FunSkills and InHouse programs. During the ‘Golden Age’ of female football thanks to the attention and success our Matilda’s have achieved, the Rockets are poised to grow our female football participants every season.

As part of our club approach in encouraging female football, we have appointed a Female Vice-President, Juniors Vice-President and Small Sided Football Co-Ordinator to help manage and ensure all Rockets Female players are well looked after. Please reach out and ask any questions you may have.

 

All junior female non-competition and competition team matches are played on a Sunday. Most Senior female matches are played on a Friday night. Home games are played at Eric Mobbs Reserve in Castle Hill. Nearly all away games are played at the home ground of the team being played. All teams are based in the Hills District to minimise travel.

The football season usually starts late March and the competition runs for 18 weeks plus finals where necessary. Pre-Season training and grading will usually be run from February to March. All players are notified of all events, game times and locations through email, TeamApp or their team manager.

Team Shirts and socks (free) will be provided and shorts are available for purchase from the canteen, just bring boots & shin guards.
